52 Reasons

In this week’s episode, we chat with Rich, the Executive Director at OneAmerica. OneAmerica advances the fundamental principles of democracy and justice at the local, state and national levels by building power within immigrant communities in collaboration with key allies.

OneAmerica® was formed directly after September 11, 2001 in response to the hate crimes and discrimination targeting Arabs, Muslims and South Asians. Called Hate Free Zone at the time, the organization expanded to organize and advocate with many diverse communities of color. OneAmerica has now grown into a leading force for immigrant, civil and human rights.

While OneAmerica is based in Seattle, Washington, their work takes place at both a local and a national level. Rich shares opportunities for you to get involved in your own neighborhood as we discuss this timely topic of immigration and refugee support. Listen in now and don’t forget to click on the ACT and DONATE tabs to support this awesome organization.
